An effective Supply Chain strategy is critical to an organization's success. We understand that there are many aspects that contribute to Supply Chain performance. Depending on a company's situation, improvement in one specific lever or a fundamental shift in strategy may be required to generate the greatest value.
Typical Engagement
Supply Chain strategy engagements may be broad or focused on a single question. For example, how do we get customers to take product in a way that will take cost out of the entire supply chain? In the below example, the answer was to develop a detailed understanding of the overall economics of supply, determine differentiated pricing for volumes taken from Regional Distribution Centers (RDCs) vs Full Truckload volumes from the plant, and sell the program - both within the client organization and with customers. These programs at two different Consumer Goods companies reduced overall Supply Chain costs by tens of millions - a benefit partially shared with their very happy customers.
